BCFS helped form and manage the Fix Our Roads coalition, and orchestrated a major push in support of Senate Bill 1 (Beall), which will generate more than $5 billion in new revenues annually for transportation. SB 1 and ACA 5 passed both the Senate and Assembly on April 6, authorizing the largest investment in transportation infrastructure in California history.

BCFS was hired to launch an aggressive campaign in opposition to AB 350 – a far-reaching bill that would have taken away a basic employer right of choosing who to hire. BCFS built and worked with a coalition during the summer legislative recess to organize and to reframe the issue as an outrageous power grab and a vast over-reach by legislators. It was defeated on the Senate floor just a few weeks later.
